Osimhen opens goals account at Galatasaray with brace

Victor Osimhen finally opened his goals account for Galatasaray as he scored two goals in a 3-3 home draw against Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.

Heading into this weekend’s league game, Osimhen had provided an assist in each of his first three games since joining the Turkish giants on loan from Napoli.

Unfortunately, Osimhen’s brace was not enough to secure the three points as Galatasaray surrendered a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 with the visitors.

Galatasaray went into the break with a 3-1 lead but Osimhen did not return for the second half as he was replaced due to injury.

Also in action in the game was Osimhen’s Super Eagles teammate Kenneth Omeruo who was brought on in the 30th minute.

Osimhen opened the scoring in the 20th minute, as he stretched to slot home a cross from the left wing.

In the 28th minute, he then made it 2-0 after controlling a long pass inside the box, hold off his marker before unleashing a left-foot volley into the net.

In the 34th minute Galatasaray went 3-0 up thanks to former Inter Milan and Argentina striker Mauro Icardi.

However, with one minute left to play in the first half Kasimpasa pulled a goal back thanks to Mamadou Fall.

Despite the draw Galatasaray still remain top in the league table on 19 points, after seven games played.
