When can I watch the Oscars?

The Oscars are on Sunday (March 10) and you have to stay up late if you want to catch them live. They are broadcast in LA at 7 p.m. EDT/4 p.m. PDT.

Here in the UK, they start at 10.15pm and go on until 2.35am. If you're planning on staying up for the whole two hour and 20 minutes show, better get some snacks.

Who is hosting the Oscars?

The US host is Jimmy Kimmel, the fourth time he has taken the reins of the programme. The Oscars are being shown on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX for British movie fans, in a show hosted by movie buff Jonathan Ross.

When Kimmel hosted the 2023 Oscars, Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang said: "Jimmy is the perfect host to help us recognize the incredible artists and films of our 95th Oscars. His love of movies, live TV expertise, and ability to connect with our global audiences will create an unforgettable experience for our millions of viewers worldwide."
