The 95th Academy Awards were held in Los Angeles on Sunday, putting to bed months of cinematic speculation. Everything Everywhere All at Once swept the awards with seven Oscars, including best picture and director.
There were some emotional moments throughout the ceremony, as Brendan Fraser and Ke Huy Quan took home the awards for best actor and supporting actor respectively, marking the culmination of their remarkable comeback stories. ‘Scream queen’ Jamie Lee Curtis was teary as she referred to her movie star parents Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh – both of whom earned Oscar nominations – in her acceptance speech for best supporting actress.
