Opinion: Battle between Celtic duo will be fun to watch next season

There is a lot for Celtic fans to look forward to in season 2022/23. The Hoops are back in the Champions League group stages, which is always exciting, and there will hopefully be some new signings in the squad that can help the Bhoys make progress in both domestic and European football.

It will also be exciting to see the competition between Celtic players that are already in the squad, such as Kyogo and Giorgos Giakoumakis up-front, who will be battling it out to be the number one striker at Celtic Park next season. That will be a very good watch for Hoops fans.

Another battle in the squad that should be well worth watching is in the right-back area of the squad, where Anthony Ralston and Josip Juranovic will fight it out to be the first choice right-back under Ange Postecoglou.

That would be interesting, as it could mean that the duo’s performances for the Hoops could get even better in season 2022/23.

Celtic are fortunate to have two very good options in the right-back area of the squad, and it remains to be seen just how long the duo remain at Celtic Park, as you have to think that clubs will be interested in signing Juranovic in particular.

That is
