Only a 'crazy offer' would see Bernardo Silva leave Man City and more transfer rumours

Barcelona will reportedly need to submit a 'crazy offer' to convince Manchester City to sell Bernardo Silva this summer.

According to CaughtOffside, it will take a vast sum of money to convince Pep Guardiola to allow the player to leave. It has been reported that City are refusing to sell Silva unless an offer of at least £80million is received.

Barcelona's financial difficulties are no secret with numerous players agreeing to wage deferrals. However, they have also signed players like Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Jules Kounde, which will not help any potential negotiations with the Blues as they try to convince City that they cannot afford the player's asking price.

Elsewhere, City are running out of time to sign Lucas Paqueta from Lyon as Newcastle rival the Blues for the Brazilian playmaker.

Foot Mercato report (via Football 365 ) that the Lyon midfielder has been on the club's radar this summer but that City's approaches have so far fallen short of the club's asking price of between €45m and €50m.

The two sides were competitors on the pitch last Sunday as they drew 3-3 in a thrilling match at St James' Park, and now it appears that the Magpies are rivalling the Blues off the pitch as the pair battle for Paqueta's signature.
