"One they could look at" - Journalist drops West Ham transfer claim on "incredible" 51-cap star

West Ham could look at signing Manchester City star Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer, believes Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor.

There has been talk about the London Stadium outfit being interested in the 25-year-old, and Taylor would not be shocked to see them make a move for him.

According to the Evening Standard, both West Ham and Arsenal want to recruit Zinchenko this transfer window.

The same outlet states that the former want him to come in to play at left-back, while the latter are offering minutes in midfield.

£22.5m-rated Zinchenko is, of course, a very versatile footballer, playing in both the aforementioned positions in his career.

As per Transfermarkt, in total, the Ukrainian has been deployed as a left-back on 123 occasions and as a midfielder on 27.

Taylor can see David Moyes making a move for Zinchenko before the transfer window shuts.

The Daily Express journalist told GIVEMESPORT: “I think a left-back would certainly be on the agenda for West Ham. I know there was brief interest in Hassane Kamara from Watford, but nothing’s really materialised from that as such.

“I think Zinchenko’s versatility makes him a great option to any club, but obviously, he’s got experience winning the Premier League, so yeah, I think that’s one they could look at.”
