One obvious winner and one clear loser at AFC Bournemouth this season – Agreed?

It’s going to be a nervy finish to the 2021/22 campaign for AFC Bournemouth, with Nottingham Forest in fine form and aiming to pinch the Championship’s second automatic promotion place off them. 

The success of the season will hinge on whether Scott Parker can lead his side back to the Premier League and they’ll want to do all they can to avoid the lottery of the play-offs.

We still have arguably the most exciting weeks of the season to play and it will be a busy period for the Cherries, who still have seven games left, but we’ve highlighted one obvious winner and one clear loser at Bournemouth this season – let us know if you agree…

Obvious winner – Jaidon Anthony

Dom Solanke may feel hard done by to miss out on this gong on the back of what has been a phenomenal season for the striker, who has answered the doubters by showcasing his qualities as a complete forward.

However, it’s hard to look past 22-year-old Jaidon Anthony in what has been a stunning breakthrough campaign for the winger.

Anthony had never started a game for the Cherries before the season opener against West Bromwich Albion but has established himself as a key player under Parker – keeping plenty of impressive and established attackers out of the side.

He’s missed just one Championship game all season – scoring eight times and providing six assists in total in 2021/22 – and looks likely to be a regular fixture should Bournemouth succeed in making it to the Premier League.

Beyond the Vitality Stadium few knew his name heading into the current campaign but he has made himself impossible to ignore over the past eight months.

Clear loser – Morgan Rogers
