"On the radar" - Journalist drops exciting Arsenal transfer claim involving £127m attacking duo

Arsenal will have strikers Darwin Nunez and Dominic Calvert-Lewin on their ‘radar’ as the summer transfer window looms, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The Gunners are believed to be searching for a new forward ahead of next season following the departure of former club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January.

Aubameyang was allowed to join Catalan giants Barcelona on a free transfer in the winter after he returned to training late following a trip aboard, leaving Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah as the only senior options up front.

However, both Lacazette and Nketiah have entered the final few months of their current contracts, with the latter widely expected to depart on a free transfer.

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness), Arsenal were keen to snap up former Fiorentina marksman Dusan Vlahovic at the midway point of the campaign before he ended up joining Juventus.

Vlahovic’s decision to join the Old Lady has forced the north London outfit to move onto new targets, with two candidates, in particular, appearing to lead the way.

According to The Sun, Arsenal and West Ham United are on ‘red alert’ after the Everton hierarchy decided the time is right to cash in on their prized asset Calvert-Lewin.

Meanwhile, Football.London claim the capital club ‘are tracking’ Nunez ahead of a potential move as he continues to impress for Benfica both domestically and in the Champions League.
