Olympics fans furious over BBC coverage of epic tennis final

Tennis fans were left furious at the BBC after the broadcaster cut away from the tantalising Olympic tennis final.

Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz went head to head in the final at Roland Garros, with a chance to avenge his back-to-back Wimbledon final defeats at the hands of Alcaraz. However, those attempting to watch the coverage on the Beeb were left frustrated.

"@BBC your Olympics coverage is the worst I have ever known," wrote another. "Only 1 choice live, no way to search for the sport you want. tennis final not on... Shocking... Have almost ruined my Olympics, but for your excellent commentators."

"This BBC coverage of the Olympics is so poor," added a third. "I shouldn’t have to change the channel 3 times trying to watch the Tennis gold medal final only for coverage on it to completely stop."

It wasn't the first time fans have been miffed with the BBC's coverage of Olympic tennis specifically. Andy Murray played his final career tournament in the men's doubles at Roland Garros, but his matches were moved between the main BBC channels and the red button.
