Olympic medalist Ben Whittaker to make professional debut in Manchester on Hugie Fury undercard

One of the newest stars of British boxing Ben Whittaker will make his professional debut on the undercard of Hughie Fury's WBA (Regular) world title eliminator against Michael Hunter on July 2. The 24-year-old from Wolverhampton is yet to have an opponent named for the fight but is sure to be a name to look out for in years to come.

He was a part of Team GB's record-breaking boxing team from the Tokyo Olympics and is trained by Sugarhill Steward, who has been widely credited for his role in Tyson Fury's World Championship wins over Deontay Wilder and Dillian Whyte.

Whittaker won his silver medal in the Light-heavyweight division and is seen as one of the brightest prospects for the future of British boxing. Also on the Boxxer card for this event is Ricky Hatton 's comback fight against Marco Antonio Barrera.
