Olorede appointed Offa Poly head of strategic communication, media studies

The management of Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, has confirmed the appointment of Dr. Jimoh Olatunji Olorede as the head of the Department of Strategic Communication and Media Studies.

Olorede served in an acting capacity for the same position from January 2024 to January 2025.

He was appointed after an election in the Department of Strategic and Media Studies in February 2025.

This achievement underscores Dr. Olorede’s exemplary leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to the institution.

As the pioneer Head of the Department, Dr. Olorede has been instrumental in shaping its curriculum, research focus, and academic culture. His innovative approach to education has inspired countless students, fostering a conducive learning environment that encourages growth, creativity, and critical thinking.

The rector, Federal Polytechnic Offa, Engr. Dr. Kadiri Kamoru Oluwatoyin, congratulated Olorede for a well-deserved election.

Olorede promised to be an inspiration to students and foster the growth, creativity, and critical thinking skills needed for them to be communication professionals.

He commended the rector for his administrative compliance and adherence to the unbundling policy directive of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) which birthed the new department.
