Olivier Giroud: Perfect angle of France star's beautiful goal v South Africa
Olivier Giroud is closing in on becoming France’s all-time leading scorer.
The AC Milan forward netted goal number 48 for Les Bleus in a friendly match versus South Africa on Tuesday evening.
Giroud’s 34th-minute strike put France 2-0 up on the night and on the way to a resounding 5-0 victory on home soil.
Kylian Mbappe also scored a brilliant brace, while Wissam Ben Yedder and Matteo Guendouzi were the other goalscorers at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
It was yet another wonderful evening for the world champions and some of the goals by France were absolutely sensational.
Mbappe’s long-range effort was yet more proof of his absurd talent, while Giroud reminded the world that he’s still a complete striker at the tender age of 35.
The former Chelsea and Arsenal striker displayed some marvellous close control after receiving a pass from Antoine Griezmann, before dancing past a South Africa defender and firing the ball into the far corner with his trusty left peg.
And the perfect angle of Giroud’s latest masterpiece on international duty has emerged on Twitter, one which further highlights how good he is.
A man who stands at over 6’4″ should not be able to do such things with the ball at his feet…

Giroud is still different gravy, isn’t he? Chelsea selling him last summer in order to bring in Romelu Lukaku for around £100 million was not the greatest decision in hindsight.
At Milan in 2021/22, Giroud has well and truly delivered the goods, including a match-winning brace in the Milan derby against Inter.
The Frenchman has scored 11 goals across all competitions and his performances up top have softened the blow of Zlatan Ibrahimovic‘s fitness
