Oleksandr Usyk wants 'three more fights' before retirement

Oleksandr Usyk has revealed he would love to share the ring with Tyson Fury and Canelo Alvarez before he retires.

The 35-year-old – who holds the WBA, WBO and IBF belts – has set his sights on becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999 following his latest victory over Anthony Joshua.

Usyk recently did the double over Joshua at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia on August 20, which saw him retain his heavyweight titles in the process.

The unbeaten Ukrainian is considered by many to be the current pound-for-pound king having conquered the cruiserweight division as well before stepping up to heavyweight after capturing all four major belts.

Following his rematch win over AJ, Usyk had been hoping to face Fury for all the belts, only for the latter to randomly decide tooffer Joshua the chance to fight him instead.

However, it seems he hasn’t given up hope of facing Fury, as well as a ‘freak fight’ with Canelo.

And while he doesn’t think he will be around for much longer, he hopes to cap it all off with a grand finale at the Olympic Stadium in Kyiv, the home of FC Dynamo Kyiv.

“I can have three more fights at the very most. It is the most realistic to be in my top form, with Fury, Canelo and a farewell fight at Olympiyskiy,” Usyk said during an appearance on his USYK-17 Promotions’ YouTube channel per The Mirror.

“With Canelo he said that he wanted to fight me. It would be a freak fight just for the sake of money. People say I’m a freak. Why not?

“I only need to beat Fury and then it is time to retire for me.
