Oleksandr Usyk makes Francis Ngannou admission ahead of Tyson Fury bout

Oleksandr Usyk has insisted he will not use Tyson Fury's fight against Francis Ngannou as ammunition leading up to their 'Ring of Fire' encounter.

The Ukrainian locks horns with the Gypsy King in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this Saturday night. It is the first undisputed heavyweight title fight since 1999 and the first time all four major world titles have been on the line in the four-belt era.

Usyk, 37, comes into the bout off the back of a knockout victory over Daniel Dubois last August, having waited to fight Fury in December, before the fight was postponed. For the Brit, he comes into the contest still undefeated, although former UFC Heavyweight Champion Ngannou nearly managed to pull off a shock victory last October.

The Cat was present at 'The Battle of the Baddest', and following the fight saw their long-awaited bout announced. In an interview with TNT Sports reporter, Steve Bunce, Usyk gave his account of what happened on the night of Fury's fight with Ngannou.

The Ukrainian admitted he was worried when the Gypsy King was knocked to the floor during the third round, even going on to try and coach his future opponent throughout the bout, saying: "It was an incredible evening. I loved sitting ringside and watching everything.

"When I saw the knockdown, I was a little bit worried. First of all, I was worried about Tyson Fury, that there might be issues, I even shouted that Tyson should use his jab, and move faster.

"From a boxing point of view, Tyson won the fight. But of course, some additional aspects come into the analysis.
