Odermatt grabs second World gold with giant slalom victory
Marco Odermatt soared to his second gold of the World Skiing Championships with a stunning second run in the men's giant slalom. The 25-year-old from Switzerland clocked a combined time of 2:43.08 in Courchevel Meribel to clinch gold after winning the men's downhill earlier in the week.

But a disappointing second run saw the Austrian slip to the bronze medal position as he struggled to keep up with the blistering closing pace of the Swiss skiers. Defending champion Mathieu Faivre from France finished back in 19th place.
