Odegbami, Adepoju predict bright future For Lanreleke Sports Academy

Over 200 students begin screening for admission

Lanreleke Sports Academy, Ileogbo, Osun State, a specialist Senior Secondary School, founded in 2021, is currently evaluating prospective students, who came for the exercise from Osun, Oyo, Lagos, Edo and Delta states, for admission.

Over 200 aspiring students are involved in the screening exercise, which is part of the school’s admission process.

The academy’s 40 pioneer students (30 boys, 10 girls) enjoyed full scholarships, as academic work began in October 2021.

To become a student of the academy, the person is expected to be U-14 years and has a minimum educational qualification of Junior Secondary School Certificate (Junior WAEC) or has obtained his first and second term JSS 3 results, alongside possessing special abilities in sports, excelling in at least one of football, basketball, athletics and tennis.

Among the dignitaries on the day, one of this year’s screenings were Nigeria’s football legends, Segun Odegbami and Mutiu Adepoju, who predicted a bright future for the school.

Adepoju, in his general assessment of the project, described it as fantastic.

“I am overwhelmed with what I have seen here, from the structure, facilities and environment, it is top notch. I have to thank Lanre Adeleke for what he’s doing to humanity with this project.

“This is a laudable one and I think we should be grateful for having this kind of edifice here in Osun State.”

The ‘Head Master,’ who had a session with the students, added: “I am quite satisfied as we have seen a different set of talents as more than 200 students enrolled for the programme.
