Oasis 'set to add two more dates' to reunion tour after first shows sell out

Oasis likely to add two extra dates to their reunion tour, it has been reported. It comes after their two shows in Ireland became the first to officially sell out.

The Burnage rockers' first two gigs at Croke Park next August went on sale Saturday morning. And shortly before 1:30pm, Ticketmaster's Irish site said: "UPDATE: There are currently no tickets available. Please check back later as more may be released.”

Insiders have now revealed that following the popularity of the band Liam and Noel are set to confirm two extra dates at Croke park the following weekend, August 23 and 24, the Mirror reports.

A source said: "The demand in Ireland to see Oasis is absolutely massive in Ireland. The tickets this morning will be snapped up in minutes and there will be thousands upon thousands left disappointed if it stayed at just the two.

"The Gallaghers love Ireland, the demand is there so it's very likely to happen. And what is being examined is two extra concerts the following weekend to the two already announced," the source told The Irish Sun.

Representatives of the band have been contacted for comment.

Around 14 million fans are said to have joined the scramble for around 1.4 million tickets early this morning. A message on the Ticketmaster UK website told those still queuing online on Saturday afternoon that the "inventory is now limited", with some ticket types no longer available.

Fans reported major issues with sites including Ticketmaster after tickets went on sale. Some Oasis ticket hopefuls also reported being "suspended" by Ticketmaster UK and Ireland after it accused them of being "bots".
