Oasis reunion LIVE as Liam and Noel Gallagher play greatest hits as they kick off reunion tour

Oasis have appeared on stage for the first time in 16 years as their reunion tour got underway in Cardiff.

Liam and Noel Gallagher greeted the crowd hand in hand, before the band performed together to a crowd since sensationally splitting up in 2009.

They launched into Hello, following a short video which declared, “This is not a drill”.

Before their third song, (What’s the story) Morning Glory? Liam said: “Hello people, it’s been too long.”

Liam walked off stage after performing Roll With It, with Noel taking over singing duties.

Before starting his first song, Noel appeared to make a reference to the dynamic pricing scandal, quoting the audience a price before saying “it’s just gone up”.

The band are performing two nights at the 75,000 capacity venue in Wales before moving to Manchester next week.

Doors for Friday night's show opened at 5pm with support acts Cast and Wigan's Richard Ashcfort kicking off the tour.

Oasis are expected to play for more than two hours.

"Thank you Liam, Oasis. Pure magic and the best you've ever been."

Alongside Liam and Noel, tonight's gig also marked a return for Bonehead.
