Oasis at Heaton Park LIVE as 80,000 fans descend on city for huge second gig

Oasis have well and truly taken over their hometown as Manchester fans hit fever pitch with their anticipation for the band's Live '25 tour.

Last night (July 11), the Gallagher brothers - alongside Bonehead, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker - kicked off their first of five shows at Heaton Park in spectacular fashion. It marked their first show in Manchester since 2009 and since their split the same year.

The band will return to the stage once again this evening (July 12) for the second Heaton Park show, which is expected to be just as lively as the first with around 80,000 fans set to attend for the special performance.

There could also be plenty of sunshine in store too, with weather forecasts predicting a bit of a heatwave could hit Greater Manchester today. Because of this, expect more bucket hats than usual - which will serve as not only an ideal bit of Oasis concert gear but also the perfect sun blockade.

With fans being advised to use public transport rather than driving to the venue, it is expected that the city centre will be busier than usual this weekend. Fans outside of the city will be arriving at Piccadilly Station and Victoria Station, before making their way to Heaton Park.

As with yesterday's show, gates are set to open from 3pm - with support from Cast and Richard Ashcroft leading fans up to the main event. The concert itself is expected to end around 10.30pm.
