NSSCL Division Eight: Cuttle's top ton and wicket haul helps Sandbach to points

Luis Cuttle was in sublime form with bat and ball in Sandbach thirds’ NSSCL Division Eight win against Hem Heath fourths.

Cuttle showcased his batting skills first of all with a rapid 115 to guide Sandbach to 234 all out.

He hit 20 fours and three sixes in his innings, facing just 64 balls, receiving fine support from Sam Ellershaw (45).

Luqman Hussain took 3-28 and there were two wickets apiece for Will Sanders and Dominic Littler.

Littler then made 43 in Hem Heath’s reply and Oscar Bradshaw added 32 - but Cuttle couldn’t be kept out of the game.

He claimed 4-6 - and there were double strikes from Matthew Jones and James Johnson - as Hem Heath were bowled out for 170.

Porthill Park fifths piled on the runs in their easy victory over Church Eaton seconds.

Porthill Park posted 304-1 from their 40 overs, with Ranvir Singh hitting 146 not out, which contained 25 fours.

Isaac Willis weighed in with an unbeaten 84, while Auyush Deshpande chipped in with 43

Sam Pedley (24) and Michael Trayte (20) made starts in reply, but Church Eaton were dismissed for 93.

Raj Bansal led the way with the ball for Porthill Park with 4-7, while Balachandran Magiban scooped 3-20.
