NRL great Gorden Tallis’ partner injured after barbecue gas bottle explodes at Brisbane home
The partner of rugby league great Gorden Tallis has been injured after a barbecue gas bottle reportedly exploded at their Brisbane home.
The incident occurred at the home in Bardon at about 7pm on Tuesday.
Queensland Ambulance Service said a woman suffered minor burns to her lower limbs.
She was taken to the Wesley Hospital in a stable condition.
News Corp reported the woman injured was Tallis’s partner, who was hurt when the bottle exploded after failing to light.
Fire services and police also attended the scene.
Tallis, 48, is a former Brisbane Broncos, Queensland Maroons and Australia captain.
He remains a popular member of the rugby league community as an NRL broadcaster.
