Nottingham Forest transfer close as full pre-season schedule confirmed

Nottingham Forest are said to have agreed a fee to sign centre-back Moussa Niakhate.

The Reds have been chasing the Mainz man for some time, as they look to bolster their defensive ranks. And a move now looks to be firmly on the cards.

A deal has now been completed, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Forest are set to shell out £10m, plus £5m worth of add-ons, to secure his services, with a medical to take place this week.

Nottingham Forest have confirmed their final two pre-season friendlies as they build up to the start of the Premier League campaign.

The Reds are currently on a training camp in Spain. And they will get their first run-out of the summer on Friday, when they face Coventry City at the Pinatar Arena in San Pedro del Pinatar.

Fixtures have already been announced against Burton Albion, Barnsley, Hertha Berlin and Union Berlin. And the schedule for Steve Cooper’s side has now been completed.

They will face neighbours Notts County at Meadow Lane on Tuesday, July 26 (7.45pm kick-off). Following that, their final match before the season begins will be against Valencia on Saturday, July 30 (6pm kick-off), which will also be played at Meadow Lane.

Nottingham Forest have confirmed teenager Dale Taylor has signed a new deal with the club.

The young forward has put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Reds. And he has spoken of his ambitions for the future.

"It’s an unbelievable feeling to sign for another three years with this massive football club and I can’t wait to see what these next three years hold for me,” he told the official website. "This season, I will continue to work hard, try to break into the first team and hopefully get my debut."
