Nottingham Forest supporters sneak speaker into Ewood park and blast out ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’
Nottingham Forest are soaring high in confidence after their 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Wednesday night saw them climb into the play-off positions for the first time this season.
It’s been an incredible few weeks for Steve Cooper’s side, who notably dumped 2021 FA Cup champions Leicester City out of the tournament at the weekend with a 4-1 hammering.
Forest have now lost just one of their last six games across all competitions and last night, they showed that they really do mean business, as they bested promotion rivals Blackburn away from home.
While the odds were against them coming into the match, the Reds overwhelmed their opponents, with James Garner putting the side a goal up after 23 minutes and Brennan Johnson doubling their lead from a second-half spot-kick.
It was their first back-to-back win over the Blue and Whites in over 45 years and there is certainly much to celebrate at the moment for forest fans.
After a win at home, Forest usually blast out Depeche Mode’s ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ over The City Ground’s tannoys, with fans singing along to the 90s classic.
Celebrations when winning away from home can often be a much quieter affair for the Forest faithful, with hosting grounds reluctant to play the club song after full time.
But after the club’s win over Blackburn, it seems a group of supporters have taken matters into their own hands.
Spectators are typically prohibited from bringing large objects like a speaker into a football ground, but in bizarre scenes, a group of Forest fans have managed to smuggle a large boombox past the stewards in the away end at Ewood Park.
