Nottingham Forest star aims hidden Derby County jibe after huge Fulham win

Nottingham Forest have promotion to the Premier League in their hands after a 1-0 win at Fulham on Tuesday night.

The Reds beat the already-promoted Cottagers thanks to a first-half goal from Sam Surridge to guarantee a play-off place. Even though AFC Bournemouth came from three goals down to draw 3-3 with Swansea City, the Reds can still earn automatic promotion to the top flight if they win their remaining three matches.

Forest are three points behind Bournemouth with both sides on a 30 goal difference ahead of the meeting between the two on Tuesday. The Reds have only lost one Championship game since the end of January and momentum is firmly with them while Bournemouth boss Scott Parker is under intense pressure after a run of only one win in six matches.

Reds goalkeeper Brice Samba kept his fifth clean sheet in six matches at Craven Cottage and took to social media to react to the game. "We'll fight to the end," he wrote, adopting a mantra from Forest's A52 rivals Derby County whose campaign is set to end in relegation to League One.

Samba, who has become a fan favourite among Forest supporters for his mischievous nature on social media, might well know what he is doing. Forest play Swansea on Saturday at the City Ground in their final home game of the campaign before matches against Bournemouth and Hull City.
