Nottingham Forest learn transfer chances after approach made for PSG forward Arnaud Kalimuendo

Nottingham Forest have found out their chances of landing Paris Saint-Germain forward Arnaud Kalimuendo after reportedly making an approach for the France U21 international.

The Reds are busy preparing for a return to the Premier League after winning promotion via the Championship play-offs. One transfer target is Wolves attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.

The Englishman had an exceptional season with Sheffield United on loan. He managed 12 goals and 10 assists in 37 matches for the Blades.

But Nottingham Forest will have to put up a significant sum to land Gibbs-White, as Wolves want to keep him. According to Football Insider, the star will cost £25million.

Gibbs-White isn’t the only player they are looking at as French outlet Foot Mercato claim they would like to sign Kalimuendo.

The 20-year-old has made 10 appearances for France U21s, scoring four goals.

He is a product of the PSG academy and is still on their books, although he has spent the last two seasons on loan at Lens.

The starlet hit eight goals, as well as chipping in with six assists, during his first season there.

Kalimuendo improved on these numbers during the recently concluded campaign. He found the net 13 times in 38 matches. That includes Ligue 1 braces against Stade Reims and Nice.

Kalimuendo’s impressive form helped Lens finish seventh in the French top flight for the second season running.

Given the attacker’s great performances and quick development, it’s no surprise Forest are hoping to sign him.
