'Not necessary' - Former Manchester United striker slams Paul Pogba's recent comments

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has blasted Paul Pogba for comments he made in his upcoming documentary.

Quotes from ‘Pogmentary’ emerged on Thursday ahead of Friday’s release on Amazon Prime in which the Frenchman said he hoped to show other clubs that United had made a mistake. He also reacted to United’s £300,000-a-week renewal proposal - £10,000 more than his active deal - by saying the club had offered him 'nothing'.

He will join a new club this summer for free when his current United contract expires. He returned to Old Trafford in 2016 from Juventus for a then-world record fee of £89m.

Saha suggested that Pogba did not do enough to deserve a new contract during his frustrating return to United. He added: “When you have liberties to talk or you deserve more - yes, you deserve more if you actually had the performances where no one can criticise you.

“You have to perform and I don’t think
