Nohamba straight into the action via bench for Lions ahead of Cheetahs duel
The Lions have moved swiftly to name latest recruit Sanele Nohamba on the bench for a home game Currie Cup encounter against the Cheetahs on Friday.
Coach Mziwakhe Nkosi has also had the pleasure of calling on some United Rugby Championship stars into his exciting team.
The match-day squad features the in-form JP Smith at loosehead prop, fresh from URC duty last weekend. Jaco Visagie, Sibusiso Sangweni and the abrasive Emmanuel Tshituka also make an appearance in a starting XV which sees a new-look back three of Stean Pienaar, Boldwin Hansen and fullback Tiaan Swanepoel.
Nohamba, who was unveiled on Thursday could make his debut if he is used from the bench.
