No trains between Salford and Manchester due to police incident near Salford Central
There's major disruption on trains in Manchester and Salford due to an emergency services incident on the railway line near Salford Central station. All services between Victoria and Salford Crescent have been cancelled, delayed by up an hour or diverted.
Passengers are being urged to make alternative arrangements.
With Manchester United hosting Liverpool at Old Trafford at 3.30pm trains were expected to be busier than usual.

Video filmed outside Salford Central a few moments ago shows several police cars and a fire engine, with police officers seen inside the station.
A statement on the National Rail website says: "The emergency services dealing with an incident between Manchester Victoria and Salford Crescent. Whilst they do their work, all lines are closed.
"Trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or diverted. Disruption is expected until 3pm."
