Tottenham Hotspur fans have been expressing their scorn at the club after Antonio Conte hinted that he is set to hold discussions over his future.

The Italian has led Spurs to four defeats out of their last five games having failed to build on their memorable 3-2 victory over Manchester City having been defeated 1-0 by Burnley on Wednesday.

Ben Mee’s goal was enough to see the Clarets claim a victory that now sees Tottenham slump to eighth in the Premier League table and a now seven-point gap between themselves and fourth-placed Manchester United.

Following the reverse, Conte held an explosive press conference and hinted that discussions would be held over his future in north London.

He said: “This is the truth.

“This is the reality, and when this type of situation happens, maybe there is something wrong. I don't want to close my eyes, I want to take my responsibility, if I have the responsibility. I am open, I am open for every decision because I want to help Tottenham.

“From the first day I arrived here I want to help Tottenham. I repeat: I am too honest to close my eyes and continue in this way, and also take my salary. But it's not right in this moment."
