NJPW star Will Ospreay invades AEW Dynamite
Last night’s AEW Dynamite saw a debut from one of the biggest stars in New Japan Pro Wrestling, who was out to make a statement to the AEW locker room.
During the Trent Beretta promo, FTR would come out to discuss what took place during their ROH Tag Team Championship match, which ended in a no contest.
The match came to a no-contest after a surprise attack from Jeff Cobb and Great-O- Khan, who are famously known in New Japan for being members of the United Empire. The United Empire is famously led by NJPW star Will Ospreay.
As FTR mentioned the name of Will Ospreay triggered the music of the United Empire, but instead of Cobb and O-Khan emerging, the Kingpin himself Ospreay shocked the stadium by emerging onto the stage.
However, the surprises weren’t done here as a signal from Ospreay instigated a sneak attack from United Empire members Aussie Open and Aaron Hanare who blindsided FTR and Trent from behind.
The assault would finish with Ospreay dropping Beretta with the Hidden Blade before all 4 members stood tall.
It was later revealed that we wouldn’t have to wait long at all for Ospreay to wrestle in AEW as this Friday on Rampage he will team with Aussie Open to take on Trent and FTR in a trios match.
Ospreay has a long list of accolades and is praised constantly by legends in the industry. He is a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and has gained many accolades during his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
He took to Twitter to deliver a message to AEW about what happens when someone provokes the United Empire:

It is unknown who Ospreay will be at Forbidden Door or who he will face but it was unexpected surprise to see him emerge onto an AEW stage.
