Atalanta and Nigerian attacker, Ademola Lookman, said that he and his Super Eagles teammates are seriously fighting to win the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) again.

Lookman said this during a chat with the Super Eagles media officer, Babafemi Raji even as the team has adopted the slogan, ‘Let’s do it again’ ahead of the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.

“As a squad and and as a team, we have got a strong mindset and we are together, you know like the slogan let’s do it again, we are fighting to do it again,” he said on the team’s ambition going into the competition,” Lookman said.

“As individuals, we believe in ourselves and as a team, we believe in ourselves, that is the mindset.”

The 26-year-old during the chat also talked about his readiness to help the Super Eagles achieve something great at the tournament.

“We will see as a team where that takes us in Ivory Coast.”

Lookman scored the winner in his final game before leaving for AFCON duty with the Super Eagles of Nigeria as Atalanta just about managed to beat Lecce 1-0.
