.It’s Ghana vs Egypt in Group B
IF Super Eagles want to actualise their dream of winning a fourth Africa Cup of Nations next year in Abidjan, they must first negotiate a group comprising hosts, Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau.
In the CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Cote d’Ivoire 2023 draws held yesterday at the Parc des Expositions venue, Abidjan, Nigeria was pooled in Group A of the competition billed to hold from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
The draw was conducted by a heavyweight quartet of Africa’s biggest current and former football superstars, Didier Drogba, Mikel Obi, Sadio Mane and Achraf Hakimi.
In other centres, Ghana will play against Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique in Group B, while Senegal, Cameroun, Guinea and Gambia are in Group C.
Group D has Algeria, Burkina Faso, Mauritania and Angola, while Group E comprises Tunisia, Mali, South Africa and Namibia, with Morocco, Congo, Zambia and Tanzania making up Group F.
