Nigeria, Cameroon clash in AMGA 2024 men’s football semis

Nigeria and Cameroon will meet in the penultimate round of the ongoing 2024 Africa Military Games (AMGA) in Abuja today.

The draw was conducted by Brig. Gen. Brahima Diabate, Head Football Commission, Organisation for Military Sports in Africa.

Diabete was assisted by Brig. Gen. O.A. Fawsley, Chairman, Football event, AMGA, Abuja 2024 on Thursday at the media centre of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

Algeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, and host Nigeria are participating in the 2024 AMGA men’s football event. The draw pitted the Nigerian Armed Forces against the Armed Forces of Cameroon.

Both teams will renew their football rivalry in the first game billed for 4:00 pm at the main bowl of the stadium.

The second game comes up at 6:00 pm between Algeria and the Equatorial Guinean Armed Forces.

Algerian international referee Benyahia Houssam will officiate the Cameroon versus Nigeria match, with Capilaine Kedem Brice of Equatorial Guinea serving as Match Commissioner.

Nigerian Referee Abdullahi Abubakar is the central referee for the game while Algerian international referee Benyahia Houssam will officiate the Nigeria versus Cameroon match.

The winners of both matches will clash in Saturday’s blockbuster final to decide the champion of the men’s football event.
