Nigel de Jong was in awe as Jurgen Klopp went back out to clap Liverpool fans after City draw

Manchester City and Liverpool drew 2-2 in their crucial Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

There was high expectations for the game and it delivered with both sides giving everything to emerge victorious.

Kevin De Bruyne gave City the lead after five minutes, only for Diogo Jota to restore parity eight minutes later.

City took the lead once again through Gabriel Jesus’ 37th minute goal, only to be pegged back just a minute after the break courtesy of Sadio Mane’s strike.

There were no further goals as the spoils were shared.

The atmosphere inside the Etihad Stadium was incredible throughout as both sides played their part.

Liverpool’s supporters, as always, were in fine voice.

The travelling supporters were made to stay in their seats for an extended period after the game.

Jurgen Klopp came back out of the dressing room to thank them for their support.
