Nicolas Kuhn to Brentford stance named as 'clear' Celtic payday path emerges amid escalating £8.3m windfall

Brentford are reportedly not willing to make a move to sign Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn in January.

The winger is attracting admiring glances from the Premier League with Fulham and the Bees said to be among the clubs said to be monitoring the 24-year-old - who has already notched up 10 goals and 11 assists so far this season. The Scottish champions would likely command a hefty fee should he depart just months after his £3million arrival from Rapid Vienna last January and the player contracted until 2029 - with reports suggesting the club will hold out for a payday in the region of £24million.

The Standard report that Brentford have sent scouts to watch Kuhn during his first nine months in Glasgow's east end and hold an interest in the player. However, the club "are expecting a quiet January transfer window" and "could end up doing no business at all if their current form continues into the New Year" with Thomas Frank's side eyeing the upper reaches of the English top flight.

In terms of outgoings, misfit Johnny Kenny is currently on loan at Shamrock Rovers and impressed boss Stephen Bradley in the League of Ireland - despite his side narrowly missing out on the title. The striker has a deal at the club until January and is gaining valuable game time in the Europa Conference League - and netted in the 2-1 win over TNS on Thursday.
