Nicolas Jackson speaks out on Chelsea future amid Manchester United transfer links

Nicolas Jackson has spoken about his future at Chelsea amid links to Manchester United.

The Chelsea star has been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer, with recent reports suggesting a potential swap deal involving Alejandro Garnacho could take place. The Stamford Bridge club are keen on the wantaway winger, United have no interest in including Jackson in any exchange.

MEN Sport understands that United are prioritising a move for RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko amid their pursuit of a striker. Fabrizio Romano has claimed the club have already informed Leipzig about their plan to bid for the 22-year-old.

However, Newcastle United have also expressed interest in Sesko, which could pose a threat to United. Besides Jackson, Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins has also been linked with a move.

But the Chelsea striker, who cost £32m back in 2023, is fully focused on making his own contribution to Enzo Maresca's team.

He said: "Competition? I have no competition. We’re all here to help the club. Everyone has their role to play. I’m on a mission. It’s up to the coach to make his choices. I focus solely on my work."

When pressed on the transfer rumours, Jackson added: "I’m a Chelsea player. The future belongs to God. If there are any changes, you’ll know. For now, I’m focused on my preparation."

Jackson scored 13 goals in 37 games for Chelsea last season. He joined Chelsea from Villarreal in June 2023.
