NHL trade grades: Report cards for biggest deals of 2025-26 - ESPN
The 2025-26 NHL trade season continues to pick up steam as the deadline looms at 3 p.m. ET Friday.
The day before the deadline, the Colorado Avalanche built up their forward group by adding Nicolas Roy, sending two conditional draft picks back to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange. Later, the Dallas Stars traded for Michael Bunting, sending a third-round draft pick to the Nashville Predators.
Some other big deals that have happened so far this season:
Two defensemen moved on Wednesday: Tyler Myers headed to the Dallas Stars, with a pair of draft picks taking his place for the Vancouver Canucks, and MacKenzie Weegar joined the Utah Mammoth in exchange for a package that includes Olli Maatta heading back to the Calgary Flames.
The Chicago Blackhawks traded Jason Dickinson to the Edmonton Oilers for Andrew Mangiapane and a conditional first-rounder in 2027.
The Colorado Avalanche added to their blue-line group, adding Brett Kulak from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Los Angeles Kings acquired Artemi Panarin from the New York Rangers.
The Vancouver Canucks sent Kiefer Sherwood to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a pair of picks and defenseman Cole Clayton.
The Calgary Flames traded defenseman Rasmus Andersson to the Vegas Golden Knights for a package that included defenseman Zach Whitecloud, draft picks and a prospect. The Flames are retaining 50% of Andersson's salary.
The Vancouver Canucks traded Quinn Hughes to the Minnesota Wild for Zeev Buium, Marco Rossi, Liam Ohgren and a 2026 first-round pick.
The Pittsburgh Penguins sent goaltender Tristan Jarry and forward Sam Poulin to the Edmonton Oilers for goaltender Stuart Skinner, Kulak and a 2029 second-round pick.
