NFL Power Rankings: Kansas City Chiefs dethroned after tough loss in Week 6

The NFL has finished Week 6 of operations, and just like any other week, quite a lot has happened that has shifted the balance of power. 

This week was certainly one of the most confusing ones when it came to the National Football League, with a lot of results that a lot of people probably weren’t expecting. For instance, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers despite the home side missing a large portion of their secondary.

Or perhaps you want to look to the San Francisco 49ers, who after looking like they might have been able to stabilise their season, lost to the Atlanta Falcons who haven’t exactly been tearing up teams so far this season. 

Those are just two surprise results, but that is just a little taste of what went on as of the teams that featured in our top ten power rankings last week, six of them lost this past weekend, which as a result has meant one of the hardest tasks when it comes to coming up with this Week’s Power Rankings.

Now admittedly a couple of them were as a result of teams playing eachother (the Buffalo Bills v the Kansas City Chiefs plus the Dallas Cowboys taking on the Philadelphia Eagles), but it still made this week’s edition one of the hardest that we’ve had to come up with.

But come up with some we did, and this is what they are: 

It took them until overtime to beat the Denver Broncos, one of the worst and badly organised teams in the league right now, so despite the win they drop down a spot, but at least they've shown that they can 'win ugly', but will need to play a lot better when more challenging opponents turn up later in the season.
