NFL: Best Super Bowl Halftime show performances
The NFL’s Super Bowl might actually be more popular because of the halftime show rather than for the sport that is played on the gridiron.
Of course, Super Bowl LVI will take place on Sunday as the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams go up against each other for the Vince Lombardi trophy at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
However, for many, the Super Bowl Halftime show will be why a lot of them will be looking to tune in, as they will be able to get to see some musical royalty perform on stage.
Indeed, this year’s edition of the event will see Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar all perform together in a show that will likely be remembered for years to come!
But, with this in mind, what are some of the most iconic and best Super Bowl Halftime shows to have ever been witnessed? Let’s take a look at a few of them below:
Prince (2007)
Many will argue that there is no better Super Bowl Halftime show than the one that Prince put on in 2007 during Super Bowl XLI.
Whilst the game featured the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears where Devin Hester managed to score a 92-yard return touchdown with the first play of the game, many will remember what “The Artist Formerly Known As Prince” had managed to provide in regard to entertainment.
