The Brazilian superstar has been in scintillating form for Paris Saint-Germain during the opening weeks of the 2022-23 campaign.
Booed by PSG fans after the club’s Champions League exit last season and linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes in the summer, Neymar is currently busy silencing his critics with each passing game.
The 30-year-old hasn’t registered a rating lower than 9.1 so far this season, according to SofaScore’s stats.
He scored two goals in PSG’s 4-0 win over Nantes in the Trophée des Champions on July 31. Then, in PSG’s opening Ligue 1 fixture against Clermont, Neymar found the net again and provided three assists for his teammates.
PSG beat Montpellier 5-2 on August 13, a game that saw Neymar add two more goals to his tally.
While on Sunday evening, PSG hammered Lille 7-1 away from home, and Neymar scored two more goals and registered a further three assists.
In total, that’s seven goals and six assists (13 goal involvements) in just four matches. Sensational.
