Neymar's 'special love' for current Manchester United star and Harry Kane amid transfer links

Brazillian forward Neymar has already spoken about his 'special love' for Manchester United transfer target Harry Kane and current star Jadon Sancho. There has been recent speculation that the Paris Saint-Germain forward is on Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani's transfer wishlist should the Qatari's takeover bid for United prove to be successful.

Reports have claimed United have 'been keeping an eye' on Neymar 'for several months' and made inquiries into his availability at the start of the year.

Should a move materialise, the Brazillian may be particularly keen to line-up alongside Jadon Sancho - as well as top centre-forward transfer target Harry Kane.

Speaking to The Telegraph ahead of the World Cup, the PSG forward said: "I really forgot about England but obviously they have a chance! I really like Kane and Sancho. They’re two incredible players and I have a special love for them because I like players that have their qualities."

Neymar also previously provided a one-word assessment of Kane, describing the England captain as 'intelligent' when asked by DAZN.

The Manchester Evening News understands that Erik ten Hag has made signing a new centre-forward his top priority this summer, with Harry Kane his number one target. Napoli's Victor Osimhen, Benfica's Goncalo Ramos, Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund, Ajax's Mohammed Kudus and Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani are also on the club's radar.

Should Neymar move to Old Trafford this summer he could be lining up alongside both Sancho and Kane next season, although it would present Erik ten Hag with something of a headache to fit all three in the same attack, not to mention the likes of Marcus Rashford,
