When it comes to the topic of the best international teams in history, Spain will always come up in the conversation.

From 2008 to 2012, La Roja were outrageously good. Their collection of Real Madrid and Barcelona superstars helped them win three major trophies in just four years.

Spain triumphed at Euro 2008 after beating Germany in the final, before winning their first ever World Cup in South Africa two years later.

Andres Iniesta scored a dramatic extra-time winner against Holland in the final to secure the coveted Jules Rimet trophy.

Spain then completed their era of dominance by thrashing Italy 4-0 in the final of Euro 2012.

No other team could get near La Roja for a considerable amount of time and that’s why the country are so well-represented in the list of players with the best win percentages on the international stage during the 21st century (among those to have played 50+ games).
