Newcastle United supporters name their starting XI for final day Burnley clash

Newcastle United supporters are hoping Eddie Howe restores England international Kieran Trippier back to the Magpies starting line-up for their final game of the season against Burnley.

Trippier picked up an injury against Aston Villa back in February and has only featured once for Newcastle since. He came on off the bench in Newcastle's 5-0 defeat away to Manchester City at the Etihad but was an unused substitute in the Magpies 2-0 win over Arsenal on Monday.

After a season of twists and turns, it is remarkable that Newcastle head into the final day of the Premier League season with the chance at a top 10 finish if they beat Burnley at Turf Moor. Martin Dubravka is the obvious fans choice between the sticks. With rumours aplenty about Newcastle's interest in Manchester Untied keeper Dean Henderson, it could be Dubravka's final outing for the Magpies.

Trippier returns to the fold at right-back in place of Emil Krafth, while Fabian Schar and Dan Burn are the selection at centre back. It could also be Matt Targett's final outing for Newcastle too. The midfield is unchanged from the trio that ran the show against Arsenal. Bruno Guimaraes is flanked either side by Sean Longstaff and Joelinton, Newcastle's player of the season.

With only half a season under his belt in the position, it will be exciting to see just how far he and Newcastle can go next season with a strong summer window.
