Newcastle United's pre-season friendly in Kufstein ended in chaos as hundreds of excited local fans invaded the pitch at the final whistle.
The Magpies lost 1-0 to Bundesliga side Mainz 05 and at the end of the game supporters ran on to the field in a quest to get player shirts and selfies.
The home club's security officials struggled to keep fans away from players with Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin eventually escorted to a safer area as they coped with demand from supporters.
United players then jetted back to Tyneside where they will spend a few days with family to rest and recover before setting off for Portugal next week.
