Newcastle United’s upcoming summer transfer window will be watched by the eager eyes of many this year as they prepare to enter it as the richest club in world football, with a whole host of top names expected to be linked to the Magpies as a result.

One of those is Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who could be sold by the Serie A club this summer as Max Allegri considers a rebuild of his squad following their disappointing fourth-placed finish this term. And according to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, Newcastle are in pole position alongside Premier League rivals Chelsea to sign the Frenchman this summer, who can be sold for less than £13 million.

However, the Blues have finally had confirmation of Tedd Boehly’s successful purchase of the club this week from Roman Abramovich, and the Blues will now have cash to splash this summer.
