Newcastle have 'enquired' about £16.2m-rated star - journalist

Journalist Alex Crook has claimed that Newcastle United have enquired about Jack Harrison over a potential move to St James’s Park this summer.

There have been reports stating that Newcastle United are keen on signing Jack Harrison this summer, but they face competition from fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur who are also interested in luring him away from Elland Road.

However, Jesse Marsch is reportedly an admirer of Harrison, and he is not for sale according to reports, especially with Leeds remaining in the top flight, whereas if the Whites got relegated, then it might have been easier to see a move for the English winger.

Harrison played a key role for Leeds last season, he featured 38 times in all competitions, whilst scoring 1o goals and chipped in with two assists.

With Newcastle reportedly showing interest in signing Jack Harrison from Leeds United, Crook told GiveMeSport that the Magpies are certainly interested in signing him but the price tag set by Leeds is currently too high.

“There’s some interest in Harrison. I know Newcastle have enquired, but at the moment, the price tag is too hefty,” Crook said.
