New recruits Timm, Sibisi adapting well at Pirates

After arriving from Marumo Gallants in the last transfer window, new signing Miguel Timm feels it's time for Orlando Pirates to end their trophy drought.

"All the cups that are up for grabs we want to be there. It's a marathon, we're only only games in. We know there's been a bit of inconsistency, but not for a lack of trying and implementation of what we are trying to do," Timm told reporters.

If Pirates wish to challenge for major honours, they need to start converting chances. They are struggling in front of goal, netting only four times in the last seven league games.

"Everyone knows we're creating lot of chances but we're not converting which is up to us as the players to keep on pushing, to try and correct that as soon as possible... the sooner the better. I think in the first round we want to stay amongst the top teams. It's a marathon and push on from there."

Asked about adapting at his new side, Timm feels he has done well and knows each game will get better.

"It's my fifth start. I did express to the technical team that I need to transition to learn about the new system and my new teammates which takes time. I think I've worked hard enough to earn the minutes I've earned so far.

"I've tried to improve with each game that passes by and I've felt I've done well... obviously [there is] big room for improvement and I hope to continue to work hard. [It's] very tough competition."

Meanwhile fellow new signing, Nkosinathi Sibisi, who like Timm arrived in the recent the transfer window, has spoken about the next game against TS Galaxy and the spirit within the camp.

"The spirits are high. I would've thought after the defeat against Maritzburg, maybe the morale of the team would be down but the spirits are positive.
