New PWHL teams in Vancouver, Seattle unveil jerseys
The PWHL’s newest two teams now have jerseys.
The league unveiled inaugural jerseys for both PWHL Vancouver and Seattle on Tuesday, exactly one month before the expansion teams will face off for the first time in Vancouver.
The Bauer jerseys feature the city name stitched across the chest for both home and away sweaters. Both teams will have names and logos before the season begins, which will be incorporated into the teams’ 2026-27 jerseys.
For now, Vancouver’s jersey features a colour palette that was “inspired by the city’s natural surroundings,” including “pacific blue and cream with an earthy bronze accent.”
“I feel so excited that fans are finally getting to see our jerseys for the first time,” PWHL Vancouver forward Sarah Nurse said on Tuesday. “It truly feels surreal to think that in a month, I’ll be wearing that in a game for the first time. I already feel like we have such a strong fan base in Vancouver and can’t wait to compete on the ice in front of all of them on opening night.”
Seattle’s sweaters have “deep slate green and cream with a river blue accent.”
“These jerseys pay tribute to the PWHL’s inaugural season with their classic design, honouring the journey that led us to our first year in Seattle,” PWHL Seattle GM Meghan Turner said. “We’ll be proud to wear our city name in our own inaugural season — a continued reminder of the roots we’re establishing here and our commitment to representing this city with pride.”
The PWHL season begins on Nov. 21, with Seattle at Vancouver one of two games on the schedule that night.
Both teams were built through an expansion draft process that saw the existing six teams across the league lose big-name stars.
