Janette Manrars sweetly shared a 'first' with her baby daughter as she and Aljaz Skorjanec were finally able to head home after becoming a family of three. The couple delighted fans over the weekend when the confirmed the safe arrival of their first child together.

The former Strictly Come Dancing stars delighted fans when they announced back in February that they were set to become parents this summer. They have since followed every step of Janette's pregnancy and have eagerly awaited finding out about the bundle of joy's arrival.

And Janette and Aljaz, who knew the gender but didn't want to reveal it until the baby was here, confirmed the arrival of their baby girl on Saturday (July 29). They revealed that the baby girl, named Lyra Rose Skorjanec, was born on Friday (July 28) alongside a sweet snap which they shared on both of their social media pages.

The black and white photo showed Janette cradling Lyra in her hospital bed while Aljaz leant over them, unable to hide his smile from the camera. Aljaz has already proven to be the doting dad after the 33-year-old returned to Instagram where he shared a sweet selfie of himself looking over the crib at his daughter.

Sharing the snap to his Instagram Stories, the star could help but gush over his love for the little one. The talented dancer, who left fans gutted when he announced last year he was leaving Strictly before the 2022 series, typed alongside the adorable image: "Love at every sight. I haven't moved today."
