New Juventus signings seal Serie A win

Dusan Vlahovic has made a dream debut for Juventus, scoring the opening goal in a 2-0 win over Verona in Italy's Serie A on Sunday.

The coveted striker completed a 70 million euro (A$113m) transfer from Fiorentina on January 28, his 22nd birthday.

The Serbia international lobbed onrushing Verona goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipo in the 13th minute.

He's the league's joint top-scorer on 18 goals, along with Lazio's Ciro Immobile.

"Juve always aim for the highest objectives. In every competition, when it starts, Juve aim to win it," Vlahovic said.

"That is why I'm here, to help and give my contribution. We will go game by game and at the end of the season we will see where we are."

Another new Juventus signing, Switzerland midfielder Denis Zakaria, who joined from the German Bundesliga's Borussia Moenchengladbach, doubled the lead with a low shot past Montipo in the second half.

The Bianconeri move to fourth in the standings with 45 points, eight behind leaders Inter Milan, while Verona (33) are ninth.

In Venice, striker Victor Osimhen scored on his first start since November as Napoli beat 10-man Venezia 2-0 to move level on points with second-placed AC Milan.

Napoli and Milan trail Inter by one point after the Rossoneri rallied late to win the city derby 2-1 on Saturday, although defending champions Inter have a game in hand.

The 23-year-old Osimhen, who suffered a serious head injury in November, nodded home the opening goal in the 58th minute wearing a protective mask. It was the sixth Serie A goal for the Nigeria international this season and 10th in all competitions.

In a lively finish, defender Tyronne Ebuehi received a straight red card following a VAR review for a high tackle on Dries Mertens five minutes into added time
